Changes in Duality, to an Inclusion of Materialism and Idealism
This class offers an important, fundamental refocusing on the importance of both materialism as well as the value offered by idealism. Einstein’s theory of relativity, and the material based reference points continue to offer insights into our concepts of reality. Research into quantum mechanics offers new insights into what “is” in a fundamental way. It is only possible to realize Nicola Tesla’s hopes of advancing science further in ten years than all of the prior study of physical science if we learn to bridge the laws of both quantum theory and relativism. The purpose of this class is to build on the framework of learning about both idealism and reverting consciousness as a basis for materialism, while also emphasizing the value and importance of using our full capacity to understand our universe from a materialist perspective. The part and the whole are interwoven, inseparable, and fundamental. Learning how to hold this apparent duality is critical, and perhaps even essential to the survival of the human species.
